Flower festival to welcome the New Year in Hà Nội

VGP – A giant picture of Khuê Văn Các (Pavillon of the Constellation of Literature) made of thousands of dry flowers will be featured at the 2012 Flower Festival which begins on the evening of December 30 to celebrate the New Year.
The actual pavilion is located within of the Temple of Literature in Hà Nội.
The festival entitled Hà Nội, rendez-vous of Streets and Flowers, will be organized along Đinh Tiên Hoàng Street with the contributions of skilful artisans from throughout the nation. Artisan Mạnh Hùng will create another picture from flowers, Huyền Thoại Việt Nam (the Legend of Việt Nam), which will tell the story of Lạc Long Quân and Âu Cơ, the creators of the Vietnamese people.
The Embassy of Holland in Việt Nam, who is sponsoring the event, will offer the festival 4625 pots of lilies.
The festival will end on January 2, 2012. VNS
