Activities held abroad to introduce thousand-year Hà Nội

VGP - An exhibition on Việt Nam’s 1,000-year-old capital city of Thăng Long-Hà Nội is being held in Laos from August 2 to September 2. And an international conference will be held soon to introduce the city to the outside world.

Việt Nam’s National Library and the Việt Nam Cultural Center in Laos held the exhibition entitled “Thăng Long-Hà Nội: 1,000-year-old Civilization”  in Vientiane. The exhibition is arranged in four topical sections: The sacred land of talented people, Tangible culture, Intangible culture, and Integration and development.

Exhibits include ancient documents dating back to the reign of King Đồng Khánh (1864-1889), photos of streets and daily life in Hà Nội in the early 20th century and at present.

An international conference themed “Sustainable development of the civilized heroic capital city for peace” will be held on October 7.
